Reporting
The report you choose, in the format its reader needs. And once a month it arrives on its own, without anyone having to ask for it.
The same content, for those who decide and those who act
A two-hundred-page technical report is not something you take to the board, and a two-slide summary is no use to the people who have to fix the vulnerabilities. That is why Dottor Box reporting produces the same content in four formats, each designed for a different reader.
The way it works is simple: choose the sections to include, then the format, and the report is generated on the spot with the data from the latest scan. Only the sections for the services you have active appear, and nothing is preselected.
The three reporting levels, Executive, Technical and Presentation, are part of the contract and are available in Italian and English: not a machine translation of a scanner's output, but documents written to be read by a company.
Presentation: in .PPTX format, with charts and statistics on your progress in reducing risk.
The presentation is not there to show a status, but a trend: where you started from and where you have got to.
What you get
Four formats
A summary for management, a complete technical document, a PowerPoint presentation and an Excel workbook.
The sections you want
You choose the chapters, from those of the services you have active. No padding.
Data from the latest scan
The report is generated the moment you ask for it: it is not a PDF prepared weeks earlier.
Automatic periodic report
On the 1st of every month, by email, with the type changing from monthly to annual depending on the period.
Executive report, technical report, presentation and Excel
The same data, four ways to use it.
| Format | What it is | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Executive | A summary for management: the main findings, without the technical detail | Management |
| Technical | The complete document: every vulnerability, host by host | The IT team that has to fix the vulnerabilities |
| Presentation | The same information in PowerPoint, with native editable charts, not images | Whoever has to report back in a meeting or to a customer |
| Excel | A workbook with eight sheets: general data, network addresses, hotfixes, packages, vulnerabilities, critical events, shares | Anyone who wants to filter and cross-reference the data |
The Cyber Risk Report in detail: chapters, sections and methodology
On the 1st of the month, in the inboxes you have chosen
On the first day of every month, at 02:00, the report goes out by email. You do not have to remember to generate it, and the type adapts to the calendar.
- Monthly in ordinary months
- Quarterly in March and September
- Half-yearly in June
- Annual in December
You decide who receives it
In the notification settings you choose, for each address, which alerts to subscribe it to: the periodic report can go to management and your IT provider, the new-vulnerability notifications only to the technician.
Each recipient receives their own email, with no copies in CC: no address is exposed to the others.
And every week the complete technical report is archived, so the history remains available in the Time Machine.
Reports branded with the partner's name
When a Dottor Box belongs to a reseller, the reseller's logo and details go on the cover. The partner gives its customers a professional report carrying its own brand, built on the platform and on the work of Dottor Marc's SOC.
A report a person has reviewed. Scans are non-invasive, automated and semi-automated, and are complemented by manual checks by our qualified staff to remove false positives and false negatives. What you read in the report is not the raw output of a tool.
Which standards it supports
Periodic reporting documents the continuous monitoring that the standards ask you to demonstrate.
